The role We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced 2 Year PQE Solicitor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for consumer law and regulatory compliance to further develop their skills in a supportive, high-calibre environment. As a 2 Year PQE Solicitor in our team, you will be involved in providing expert advice on a wide variety of consumer law matters, including but not limited to: • Advertising and Marketing Compliance: Advising clients on compliance with the CAP (Committee of Advertising Practice) and BCAP (Broadcast Committee of Advertising Practice) Codes, ensuring that advertising and marketing campaigns meet the required legal standards. • E-Commerce & Online Platforms: Offering guidance on the regulatory aspects of online trading, including e-commerce compliance, website accessibility, and the legalities surrounding online marketplace platforms. • Consumer facing terms: Drafting and reviewing consumer-facing terms and conditions, including website terms of sale, terms of use, loyalty terms, warranty terms. Advising clients on issues related to unfair contract terms, transparency and pre-contract information requirements. • Global Consumer Protection: Supporting clients on international consumer protection laws, ensuring compliance with the diverse regulatory frameworks of global markets. • Price and Prize Promotions: Assisting clients with the legal considerations surrounding price promotions, competitions, and prize draws, including compliance with relevant legislation and codes of practice. • Regulatory and Enforcement Issues: Providing guidance on regulatory investigations, enforcement action, and responding to complaints or claims from consumers or regulators. • Strategic Consumer Compliance: Advising clients on broader strategic issues, identifying and addressing compliance risks, and ensuring alignment with the latest legal developments in consumer law and data protection.
