JOB OVERVIEW: Assistant Practitioner: Laurel Ward - Inpatient for Older People with Organic Mental Illness.
We are looking for energetic people who want to make a difference and be part of a specialist team who like to think outside of the box.
Assistant practitioners are not registered nurses but have a high level of training in specific areas, and support the registered nurses in delivering high quality, person-centered care.
You should have excellent caring and interpersonal skills that you would utilise to build good working relationships with staff, carers and service users across the scope of our care delivery.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to develop the role of an Assistant Practitioner to enable participation in a wider range of opportunities. This includes participating in clinical reviews, completing relevant documentation such as clinical notes and risk assessments (under the supervision of a Registered Nurse) and medication administration following completion of training and competency assessment. You would also be involved in change management projects such as quality improvement.
