A logistics business in Lichfield is looking for a Trainee Finance Team Leader to oversee a two-person Sales Ledger team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Ledger professional to step into leadership without prior team leader experience-all training will be provided! The key requirement is strong Sales Ledger experience, particularly in handling invoices across multiple cost and profit centres and ensuring correct coding and allocation.
In this role, you'll support the team with their workloads while also being hands-on with processing and operations. Responsibilities include 1-2-1s, performance reviews, and ensuring invoicing runs smoothly. The business is also looking for someone proactive who can review processes and drive improvements, helping to take some responsibilities off the Head of Finance's plate.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee a Sales Ledger team of two, providing guidance and managing workloads.
Process and review high-volume invoice requests from multiple sources, ensuring correct coding and allocation across cost and profit centres.
Ensure accurate cost centre allocation for all invoices, maintaining financial accuracy across different areas of the business.
