The role: Possible start date: ASAP Monday to Friday; 8:30am to 4:30pm Total working hours: 37.5 Main purpose of job: To provide legal assistance and support to the partners and other senior fee earners in the team. To provide cost effective administrative and case worker support to the partners and other senior fee earners in the team. Key tasks: Undertake certain elements of fee earning work under supervision. In particular: Answering the telephones File creation Prepared files for billing Book legal visits / appointments Scanning / Copying Generation of suitable client care correspondence Assisting solicitors on court hearing attendances at routine directions/interim hearings Sending and replying to third party emails Liaise with third Parties- Chambers / Court Experts / Clients and other relevant third parties Keep manual office diary and online up to date Manage social media accounts e.g. Twitter and Instagram To deal wherever possible with routine client enquiries and communications Open post and distribute accordingly Archiving Files Once given training, you can embark on the following tasks: Drafting of Instructions to Counsel Seeing clients to take instructions Casework Eventually drafting letters to clients The training you will receive: Level 3 Business Administration qualification All training is undertaken online, through a combination of self-paced eLearning and live online classes Functional skills in English and Mathematics, if required Prospects: Potential full-time role on successful completion of this apprenticeship Qualifications required: GCSE or equivalent English (Grade A - C 9/4) - Desirable GCSE or equivalent Mathematics (Grade A - C 9/4) - Desirable Personal Skills required: Communication skills IT skills Attention to detail Organisation skills Customer care skills Problem solving skills Presentation skills Administrative skills Number skills Analytical skills Logical Team working Creative Initiative Non-judgemental Patience Ambitious The apprenticeship: Qualification: Business Administration Level 3 Duration: 15 months
