Service Manager Carmarthen 37 hours per week £31,445 per annum What you will be doing Provide direct hands-on support and undertake On Call duties as required To lead the team of colleagues, encouraging and coaching them to creatively problem solve and develop person-centred solutions to helping people achieve their desired outcomes, and ensuring they are skilled and confident in their role. Working alongside the Area Manager to ensure a safe service for the people we support and our colleagues To provide leadership and management to the team, monitoring performance and engage with supervisions, appraisals and team meetings. To develop, promote and ensure the effective delivery of person centred, outcomes-focussed support to service users. To Respect, Safeguard and Enable each person as an individual with the right to expect autonomy, choice and privacy. Provide guidance and support to the Assistant Service Manager to enable them to effectively manage all aspects of colleague’s performance within their areas of responsibility. Commit to own personal development, attending training when required and seeking development opportunities What you will need Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities in a social care setting QCF Level 5 in Care, Promoting Independence or Health and Social Care To be passionate about supporting people to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential Knowledge and understanding of the principles of confidentiality and privacy A good understanding of health and safety legislation and management in a social care setting A working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice Excellent IT skills A full clean driving license and willingness to travel for meetings and training.
