Axcis is working with a lovely primary school in Bath to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant. The role will be supporting a small group of students within the school’s SEND resource base, making it ideal for someone with previous TA experience. This opportunity is also suitable for recent graduates of subjects such as psychology, sports coaching, or performing arts who are looking to begin a career in education. The working hours for this role are between 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and the daily rate of pay starts from £93.48.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensuring a positive and safe learning environment that focuses on the wellbeing of the students.
2. Adapting the support given to the needs and abilities of individual students.
3. Effectively minimizing and handling meltdowns, outbursts, and disruptive behavior.
Requirements
1. Experience supporting individuals with SEND.
2. Strong communication and written English skills.
3. Right to Work in the UK.
4. Enhanced DBS on the update service.
