Lead Fibre Installation Engineer
Location: Field Based
Hours: Mon – Fri 7.5 hours between 7:00am – 19:00pm
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 Plus company benefits

Your new role (Hands on Lead)
We’re looking for a Fibre Installation Engineer that is comfortable in leading projects when required, this includes being an escalation point, allocating duties and providing high-level updates and overviews to relevant management and stakeholders.
1. Work closely with the Installation Manager and other team members to ensure the success and profitability of the team.
2. Effectively supervise an installation/commissioning team; ensuring work is completed in a timely and professional manner - exceeding both client and customer expectations; liaising with various departmental associates to achieve customer satisfaction and installation completion.
3. Ability to implement work pack instructions & produce red-line markup diagrams.
4. Prepare and interpret spreadsheets, customer documents & technical drawings.
5. Ensure completion of works within project timescales.
6. Prepare RAMS – with technical content support from the team as required.
7. Detailed daily & weekly site reports – internal & customer facing as required.
What you’ll need to succeed
1. Experience in Fibre Fusion Splicing and jointing.
2. Structured cabling installation.
3. Copper installation, jointing and connections.
4. Working knowledge of copper and fibre testing, OTDR and ILM.
5. Cable containment.
6. A responsible attitude and behave in a manner appropriate to the position.
7. The ability to make decisions, to ‘think on their feet’, and to communicate and present information effectively.
8. Good spoken and written communication skills.
9. The ability to plan and prioritise own work, and those of others.
