Our Teaching Assistants are vital in ensuring each student reaches their full potential. Each TA does this by developing a positive working relationships with our students understanding their likes, dislikes and interests so that all lessons are personalised for each student.Our sixth form, based at Airfield Road in Christchurch, offers a very unique and tailored approach to further education, for our students aged between 16 - 18 years old, in which we support our learners with preparation to adulthood by cooking meals, providing guidance to support students attend and get to and from 6th form alone on public transport, physical activities such as bike rides, swimming and much more.Our students make use of our swimming and sensory facilities. Some students also go off to work placements across the local county to explore key areas of interest to work in as they finish their learning. Some providers include Moors Valley, Tuckton Ferries and the Marriott Hotel to name a few.Working within Portfield School is unbelievably rewarding and we guarantee that no two days will be the same, this does come with some challenges, which may be both physically and emotionally demanding at times.
