We’re hiring an Assistant Accountant in Letchworth on a maternity cover contract! This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to join a supportive team and take on a variety of accounting duties. Key Responsibilities:
* Accruals/Prepayments: Manage and process accruals and prepayments
* Month-End Review: Assist with month-end financial reviews and ensure all tasks are completed on time
* Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
* Fixed Assets: Maintain the fixed assets register and manage asset-related reporting
* Credit Insurance: Manage and monitor credit insurance policies
* Payroll: Handle payroll tasks including processing starters/leavers, amendments, payroll reviews, and expenses
* Overseas Payments: Process and manage foreign payments
* Import/Export Transactions: Ensure smooth accounting of import/export transactions
What We’re Looking For:
1. AAT qualified or equivalent experience
2. Strong experience with month-end processes, accruals/prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
