Your new role
We are looking for a talentedindividual with a background in Software Development to join ourexperienced operations team of Innovation FundingExperts.
This opportunity would ideally suitsomeone who has a background in Software Development, looking for anew opportunity or a change of focus. The opportunity will enableyou to use your technical knowledge and experience in a creativeway across many sectors. This role will require you to work withina team-based consultancy environment.
It willalso require you to have strong technical report writing skills,interpersonal and communication skills, project management skillsand client relationship-building abilities. Business travel willalso be required to someextent.
Main Duties andResponsibilities
The role willinvolve writing of R&D project descriptions for softwarecompanies for R&D tax credit claims for submission to HMRC.You will obtain the necessary information in discussions with ourclients within the software industry. You will also be required togather relevant background details to complement technicalreports.
Full training will be provided onjoining the company and initially you will be work closely with ourSoftware team:
* Meet with clients togather business and project information (this can be either remotely or face to face).
* Develop astrong understanding of government guidelines / legislation andRevenue guidance in regard to R&D activity, and criticallyassess client projects.
* Produce technical andfinancial documentation to accurately and concisely support theR&D Tax Relief claim, ensuring claims are concluded in atimely manner.
* Review and interpret theorganisation's financial accounts, with support from our Financedepartment.
* Engage with HMRC and prepareadditional financial and technical documentation as required, if anenquiry is raised on a claim submitted.
* Maintain regular and effective communications with clientpersonnel during the claim process, and ensure clients arecommunicated with outside the claim period for improved workingrelations.
* Completion of internal system onclient activity.
* Participation in theon-boarding process, i.e., screening of prospects, utilisingknowledge and experience to inform likelihood of aclaim.
* Essential Criteria
* 3+ yearsSoftware Industry Experience
* Applicants musthave previous experience dealing with clients
* Proven experience of report writing skills
* Educated to a degree level
* Strongattention to detail
* Adept at using MicrosoftOffice packages
