The Mill Hill Education Group are seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic individual for the role of Senior Finance Officer to join the Finance team.
MHEG are looking for a team player with excellent interpersonal skills. This is a new position as the Group continues to grow. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Finance.
Job Description
Fees Administration - assist where required with issuing invoices, parent correspondence, fee billing queries etc
Assist with administering the schools online banking and payment portals
Supplier management: maintaining supplier records, processing supplier invoices and payment in accordance with schools policies.
Handling general queries related to finance department
Any other duties as deemed reasonable and necessary by the Head of Finance and Director of Finance and Operations
Liaison with payroll manager, process payroll for the Foundation schools and trading subsidiaries: processing starters, leavers and other changes, pension contributions, statutory deductions such as PAYE, National Insurance, holiday pay, sick pay and maternity, pay, payment to HMRC and pension providers, reconcile payroll control accounts
Working with the Head of Finance to prepare monthly/termly management accounts for The Mill Hill School Foundation
Assisting with the preparation of budgets for the Schools and Enterprises
Assisting with the year end audit and year end accounts
Assisting with the preparation of weekly cashflow forecasts for the group of schools
Prepare and submit VAT returns for the Foundation and Enterprises in consultation with the Head of Finance
Bank, cash & credit card reconciliation
Reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts on a monthly basis and at year end(Bursary accounts, trust funds, Advance fee scheme etc)
Manage the supplier payment process in accordance with school policies
Senior Finance Officer to perform financial analysis, KPI and cost reports as required
Work with Head of Finance to review and improve financial systems and processes within the foundation
Work as second administrator and backup for schools finance, fee billing, payroll, banking and other IT systems (Accounts IQ, ISams fee billing, online banking and credit card, staff payroll, BACS systems etc)
