Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Undertake monitoring and site surveys
* Supervise Site Investigations involving a variety of techniques and soil and rock logging
* Assisting in the preparation of technical reports, both factual and interpretative
* Design calculations (training will be provided) for a range of engineering scenarios
* Liaison with Contractors and Clients
* Client Care including internal and external clients
General:
* At all times work safely, ensuring your own safety and that of others in the Company
* At all times work within all Company procedures and protocols
* Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by the Company
Person Specification
Knowledge / Experience / Qualifications:
* Degree qualified to a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geography or related subject, at 2.1 or above (predicted or attained)
* A Masters in a related course (desirable, but not essential)
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* A general appreciation of other disciplines which influence geotechnical design, such as structures, highways or rail etc
* Enthusiasm for a career in Geotechnical Engineering/Geo-environmental consultancy underpinned through an understanding of our sector and work and a willingness to learn and develop skills
* Be dedicated to the delivery of projects, and the development of the team and business as a whole
* Be planned and organised in your approach to work and meeting deadlines
* Be flexible to the needs of the business, and changes to project plans
* Hold a UK drivers’ licence or equivalent (essential)
* Access to own vehicle is desirable but not essential.
