Audit Semi Senior – Accountancy Practice – Hertfordshire

Our client is a top 20 accountancy firm with a turnover exceeding £120m within the UK and over 35 offices. They provide accounting and advisory services to businesses from start-ups to mid-sized listed companies, the not-for-profit sector, and private clients.
About the Opportunity:
They are looking for an audit semi senior who is keen to develop their experience. As an audit semi senior within the firm, you will be expected to work as a team member and also independently. You will develop your supervisory skills and use your expertise for all stages of an audit, from planning through to completion. Their audit approach includes ongoing contact with clients throughout the year.
About the Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
1. Full responsibility for all stages of an audit from planning through to completion
2. Maintaining regular contact with clients
3. Preparing statutory accounts for smaller clients from the client’s trial balance
4. Using cloud-based software for audit and assurance exercises
5. Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
About the Applicant:
The successful candidate will be:
1. PQ ACCA/ACA
2. Having over a year of audit experience
3. Numerate with strong IT skills
4. An excellent communicator with good verbal and written English skills
5. Self-driven, results-oriented, and with a positive outlook
6. Able to visit the other company offices and clients’ sites when necessary
7. Experience with Xero accounting software is advantageous
The role will involve travel to several different client locations, so access to a vehicle is essential.
About the Benefits:
