About You
Primary Role and Responsibilities
* Creates working software. Designs, codes, documents, peer reviews, tests (automated), and maintains software in line with the quality management system (QMS).
* Provides innovative, technical solutions that conform to requirements with a strong focus on end-users, high quality (meets QMS / regulatory standards), performance, safety, security, and maintainability.
* Provides technical support to internal and external customers.
* Uses git source code control for software changes.
* Utilizes JIRA for documentation and tracking of software issues.
* Responsible for planning, processing, and efficiently performing all jobs without continual assistance from the supervisor.
* Acquires knowledge of working practices of a pathology laboratory.
* Develops an in-depth understanding of our laboratory information system (LIS) software.
* Mentors, trains, and supports other members of the Software Team.
* Learns and evolves existing code bases.
* Builds working relationships with other key departments.
* Assists in the development of new business, markets, and products.
* Contributes technically to team objectives.
* Helps testers and support personnel as needed to identify, replicate, and resolve system problems.
* Actively participates in the agile ceremonies e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, and backlog refinement. Contributes to continuous improvement of the team, software, and processes.
Location, Travel and Hours
* Work from home, depending on your location there is an option to work from an office.
* Occasional travel to our offices in the UK and Australia or our customer sites in North America, Australia, and Europe.
* Work outside normal working hours may be required on occasions to meet deadlines.
