In this role you will support the Head of Business Change & Improvement and work in partnership with the wider team. You will be the secretariat for the Business Design Authority (BDA), DVSA’s ‘Change’ governing body.
You will champion a business and people focused change management and business improvement approach across the Agency, supporting both business-as-usual initiatives and project-based change and improvement activities.
You will apply the principles of the DVSA change and improvement strategy to understand what the change / improvement means to the business and our people. You will implement and manage multiple change and improvement interventions in support of achieving business objectives and create a change and improvement culture.
You will empower and equip our people to support the implementation of changes and improvements, enhance how the business and our people receive the change / improvement and engage colleagues in the related activities.
This role provides the opportunity to work in partnership with the wider business and governing bodies, provide leadership, and support business change and improvement activities across the Agency.
As Business Change & Improvement, Governance & Engagement Lead, y our key duties and responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring the effective management of the BDA, scheduling meetings, taking minutes and supporting the Chair.
* Ensuring change proposals are packaged for BDA consideration, undertaking change readiness assessments on proposals for consideration.
* Engaging with and maintaining relationships with other governing bodies, ensuring alignment and successful implementation of DVSA’s overarching governance process.
* Creating and implementing a robust communication and engagement plan, to regularly promote and share good news on Change and Business Improvement activity and introducing a community of practice and development workshops.
* Overseeing the successful workflow of the team, ensuring key progress steps are captured and managed through to completion.
* Overseeing and ensuring the creation of change Management Information packs and high-level analysis of the change data we collate.
* Line management responsibility for two colleagues.
