Our Children’s Urology service leads the way in the care of children and families living with urological conditions, we work collaboratively with our Bladder and Renal Specialist teams as many children require the service of all three specialties.. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical nurse specialist to join our specialist multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will work in the outpatient and day-unit setting to provide holistic care and diagnostic services to children with a broad spectrum of Urological and Bladder conditions. The successful candidate will work one clinical shift on the renal / urology ward per 4 week rota to maintain clinical skills and facilitate collaborative working
It is desirable that you will have experience of conducting diagnostic tests and are able to catheterise children.
The children'sUrology service is dedicated to supporting staff to develop and progress, and this post will present the successful candidate with numerous learning opportunities.

• Independently manage a group of patients within the specialty whilst working as part of the multidisciplinary team, delivering specialised individualised and personalised direct patient care
Demonstrate appropriate practice and specialist advice in the assessment,
planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. This includes
history taking, physical examination and the requesting of agreed
diagnostic procedures/clinical investigations
Support and enable patients and carers to make informed decisions
relating to their treatment and management.
