JMC are working with a MRO company based in Birmingham, looking to recruit a new HR Administrator to join their team.
This client is a leading MRO dealing with line and base maintenance as well as interior modifications and fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft. The company has been operating for close to 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and encouraging a warm, positive environment to aid employee progression.
This is a Permanent Position based in Birmingham.
40 hours per week, (Monday to Friday). Hybrid working – 3 days in office and 2 days from home.

The Role
The HR Administrator will provide support to the HR team in key areas including but not limited to onboarding, contracts of employment, day-to-day HR administrative activities and HR data analysis. Acting as first point of contact to operational teams, responding to basic HR queries in line with Company Policy and legislative requirements.
Other duties involve:
- Maintain up to date Employee records and files using systems / storage tools in place.
- Undertake administrative tasks associated to new starter onboarding
- Send out standard letters and general HR correspondence – for example mortgage references & personal references, contractual changes
- Compile HR data and metrics: Gather insights from the human resource information system (HRIS), Time & Attendance, and payroll data
- Day to day management of HR mailbox responding to basic queries and escalating for support as required
- Assist Line Managers in resolving/escalating a range of HR issues, by advising on HR policies, procedures and employment law. Escalating if necessary for support
Skills and experience required.
In order to be successful in this role the HR Administrator will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Prior generalist HR experience
- Experience of working within an airport, aviation production or maintenance environment is preferred but not essential
- The role will require the individual to be able to obtain an airside pass, as well as completing full security vetting (SC)
- Analytical skills, with ability to both understand and interpret data trends
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to adapt to change
- Full Driving licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong IT skills, highly proficient in excel
- Right to live and work in the UK
