The post holder will become part of the expanding Early Intervention in Psychosis service. The Early Intervention team works with clients who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis and also those deemed to be at risk of developing psychosis. The post holder will be based within the community team, working alongside care coordinators, psychiatrists, and CBT therapists. The role of the clinical psychologist will be to provide assessment, formulation, and intervention to clients with first episode psychosis and co-morbid difficulties. The clinical psychologist will also provide supervision, consultation, and training for team members. It would be advantageous to have training in CBT for psychosis and/or Family Intervention.

* Post-Graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS including specific models of psychopathology/mental health, clinical psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology.
Desirable
* Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
* Training in CBT for psychosis, Family Intervention, or Mindfulness.
* CAARMS trained.
Experience

* Experience working as a qualified clinical psychologist.
* Experience of working with clients experiencing psychosis.

* Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care and treatment, both as a professionally qualified clinical psychologist and within the context of a multi-disciplinary care plan.
