Job Title: Test Engineer \n\nLocation: Greenford OR Loudwater (Hybrid role with 3-4 days per week onsite) Preferably based in or around London.\n\nJob Type: Permanent, asap start date. \n\nWe are seeking a detail oriented Test Technician to perform testing and validation of manufactured products, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in executing test procedures, troubleshooting issues, and working with automated test systems.
This role requires strong collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to drive process improvements and maintain compliance with industry standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n1. Test Execution & Data Collection\n\nConduct tests on manufactured products following predefined test procedures.\nAccurately collect, document, and analyse test results.\nIdentify and report product failures or anomalies to the Test Systems Engineer.\nPerform environmental, functional, and stress testing as required.\n\n2. Equipment Setup & Maintenance\n\nSet up and configure test equipment based on test specifications.\nPerform routine calibration and maintenance on testing systems.\nTroubleshoot and resolve minor issues before escalating to the Test Systems Engineer.\n\n3.
Automation & Software Support\n\nExecute automated test scripts and provide feedback on their effectiveness.\nAssist in debugging and optimizing automated test sequences.\nWork closely with the engineering team to refine automated test processes.\n\n4. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution\n\nIdentify issues in test procedures and suggest improvements.\nCollaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to diagnose test failures.\nEscalate complex technical issues for further analysis.\n\n5. Process Compliance & Documentation\n\nFollow established testing protocols and regulatory requirements.\nMaintain accurate records of test results, equipment usage, and encountered issues.\nEnsure all documentation aligns with company and industry standards.\n\n6.
Support & Collaboration\n\nCoordinate with production teams to ensure smooth testing within the manufacturing process.\nTrain production personnel on test procedures and equipment operation.\nProvide real-time feedback on test system performance to engineers.\n\n7. Continuous Improvement\n\nRecommend enhancements to test procedures based on practical experience.\nParticipate in discussions related to test development and process improvements.\nStay up to date with industry best practices and new testing methodologies.\n\nQualifications & Skills:\n\nExperience in test execution, troubleshooting, and automation support.\nProficiency in using test equipment and software tools.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.\nAttention to detail and excellent documentation skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nExperience with automated test systems and scripting.\nKnowledge of environmental and stress testing methodologies.\nFamiliarity with regulatory compliance standards in testing. \n\nRandstad Technologies Ltd is a leading specialist recruitment business for the IT & Engineering industries.
