Gi Group are proud to be working in partnership with one of the UK's leading snack food manufacturers. The company in question are looking for a Maintenance Engineer - Electrically Bias at their site in Middlesex.
Job Role:
The role is part of a team which covers production over 24/7, days/afternoons. We require a competent Maintenance Engineer, qualified within FMCG electrician to add to their existing team.
Typical Duties will involve:
1. Working closely with production to maximise utilisation of site assets.
2. Carry out all electrical works including installation, inspection, testing, and fault finding.
3. Maintain maximum effectiveness and benefit from existing site equipment.
4. Assist with development of new manufacturing methods.
5. Work cross-functionally to deliver a consistent and dynamic approach to continuous improvement.
6. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safe working procedures.
7. Adherence to the PPM system, complete and on time.
8. Completion of all relevant, statutory documentation.
9. Liaise effectively with all external maintenance contractors and ensure that they follow company Hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
10. Provide good reporting and communication between Production, the Engineering team, and Engineering management, as appropriate.
11. Perform any other duties which might reasonably be requested in association with this role to meet the needs of the business.
Desirable Experience:
1. Must be eligible to work in the UK.
2. Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
3. Experienced with Pumps, Motors, Conveyors, Sealing machines, packing machines, depositors and ovens.
4. Understanding of PLC systems, no programming required.
5. Practical engineering skills.
6. Manufacturing / Process experience with evidence of PPM delivery and control.
7. Basic understanding of mechanical systems.
