We are looking for a Children's Deputy Manager to join our team who has a passion for providing a high standard of support that enables children to learn and develop through education and positive life experiences, stay healthy and most importantly, have a fun, fulfilling life.
Position: Children's Residential Deputy Manager
Location: Great Addington, Northamptonshire.
Hours: Full-time, 42 hours per week, permanent. The ideal candidate must be able to commit to working across a variety of shifts on a rota, will have both administration and working on the floor with the Support Workers.

The role
You will support the Registered Manager in the running of the home, particularly in their absence.
You will lead shifts and support your team members to provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower our young people to achieve their goals and aspirations. This will involve respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents
In addition you will assist the Registered Manager with reviewing budgets, staff rotas, complaints and relationship building with external regulatory bodies.
About you
Are you an experienced leader, possess strong leadership qualities or looking to further develop your career within health and social care?
For our Deputy Manager position, you will need:
A minimum of 2 years related experience in children’s residential setting and be able to evidence your leadership qualities.
You must also have a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Residential Childcare or be willing to work towards this.
Experience of supervising a team and devising rotas would also be advantageous.
You will need to be adaptable and flexible with excellent communication skills and able to lead by example.
