We are seeking a motivated and experienced Health & Safety (H&S) Coordinator to join our team, supporting the successful delivery of RAN and microwave radio deployment projects across telecoms sites in the UK. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring health and safety standards are maintained and risks are managed effectively across all project activities. This is an office-based role with occasional site visits, and the successful candidate will work closely with the project team, acting as the main escalation point for H&S issues Responsibilities: Risk Assessment & Method Statements (RAMS): Draft, review, and approve RAMS for all site-based activities, ensuring compliance with current legislation and company procedures. Work with project managers and site teams to develop practical and effective RAMS, reflecting the specific challenges of telecoms site work. Health & Safety Escalation Point: Serve as the key escalation point for the project team on all health and safety matters, providing advice and solutions for any H&S concerns that arise. Liaise with external contractors and clients to ensure H&S standards are communicated and upheld. Incident Management: Lead and manage the response to any H&S-related incidents, ensuring that investigations are conducted thoroughly and corrective actions are implemented. Record and report incidents to relevant stakeholders, including root cause analysis and recommendations for future prevention. Reporting & Communication: Prepare detailed H&S reports for internal stakeholders and clients, outlining safety performance, incidents, near misses, and compliance status. Present findings, recommendations, and actions to the client and senior management as required. Policy & Compliance: Ensure all site activities comply with relevant UK health and safety legislation, company policies, and best practices. Keep up to date with changes in H&S regulations and communicate these updates to the team. Training & Support: Support project and site teams in understanding and applying H&S procedures effectively. Provide guidance on safe working practices, especially in telecoms delivery and remote site environments Key Requirements: Experience: Working knowledge of telecoms infrastructure and remote site delivery is highly desirable. Experience in drafting, reviewing, and approving RAMS for high-risk environments. Qualifications: Formal H&S training (NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent) is highly desirable. Additional relevant qualifications (e.g., IOSH, SMSTS) are advantageous. Skills & Attributes: Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and best practices, particularly in a telecoms or construction environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present reports and findings effectively. Self-motivated with a flexible attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
