Role description: Our Intern & Placement programme is designed to give you a hands-on insight into the work we do as a company and help to develop skills and knowledge within your chosen field. Supported by signposted training, the programme is based on Arcadis’ core values, giving you both technical training and support to help you develop both personally and professionally whilst with us. You will be exposed to real projects and clients and given a range of experiences to immerse yourself into over the course of your 10–12-week internship or 12 month placement. Role accountabilities: At Arcadis, we are proud of our rich history and expertise in delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions across multiple sectors, including Rail and Highways. Joining us as part of the Geotechnical and Structural Engineering team, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from ground investigations and earthworks design to iconic bridge and civil structures development. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects; assist in delivering foundation, retaining wall, ground improvement, and earthworks designs, work on feasibility studies, design, and site supervision for bridges and civil structures and undertake desk studies, specify and scope intrusive ground investigations, and produce interpretive reports. As a member of our team, you will join an established community of professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions for clients worldwide. You will gain hands-on experience across a variety of sectors, supported by cutting-edge digital tools and a wealth of expertise from our global network. Accepted degrees: BEng or MEng Structural Engineering, Civils & Structures Engineering or Civil Engineering Qualifications & Experience: You will be working towards a degree in a relevant subject You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
