Following a re-organisation of clinical services Nottingham University Hospital are looking for 4 General Managers to be part of the leadership teams for 4 Directorates across Care Group 1 and Care Group 3.
Care Group 1 brings together most medicalservices at Nottingham University Hospitals. Teamsprovide planned,urgent,and emergency care for adults in our local community.This is throughoutpatient, procedural, diagnostic, cancer,regional,national,and in-patient services across more than 30 wards.
Care Group 3 provides maternity and gynaecology services as well as the Childrens Hospital, fertility, sexual health and clinical genetics services. Most services in the care group provide highly specialised tertiary and quaternary level care at a regional and supra regional level as well providing care for the local population for their local health need.

Supporting the Care Group Leadership Team and the Director of Operations, the post holder will have operational responsibility for the Directorate in the Care Group to ensure that all operational performance targets including waiting lists, finance, workforce and service improvement targets are achieved. The post holder will actively contribute to service integration and to the development of services in their Care Group, and where appropriate the wider Nottingham health and social care system.
Supporting the Care Group Director of Operations, the post holder is responsible for the operational day to day planning, monitoring and delivery of all patient services within the Directorate.
The post holder will be responsible for leading on, and delivering success across, a number of key programmes within the Directorate. These programmes will be essential in ensuring that the Care Group can deliver its primary objectives and targets over the years and will encompass a range of topics including productivity and efficiency, transformation, clinical effectiveness, quality and workforce succession planning.

Directorate 10 – PICU, Paediatric services (Neurology, Oncology & Haematology, Diabetes and Endocrine, Nephrology, Dermatology, Cardiology, Rheumatology, Respiratory), General Paediatrics, Community Paediatrics, the S.A.R.C. and Paediatric Emergency Department.
Directorate 12b – Maternity, Neonates and Fetal Medicine
