Job Purpose: This is a key position, working 42.5 hours per week, 08:30 to 17:30, carrying out planned PPM across multiple site locations. This will include some periods supporting operational delivery in response to reactive maintenance, mainly during the summer months and peak trading times. You will be the first line in to deliver all legal maintenance PPM’s and to assist with delivery of nonlegal PPM’s throughout your allocated sites annually on a flexible basis. When completing reactive works you will maintain refrigeration equipment in customer locations and provide assistance to the refrigeration engineers when needed. Engineering teams provide a 24 hour service cover throughout the year to customer’s equipment through the use of planned and extended working hours including participation in standby rota procedures. Therefore, you will be required to assist with a minimum of 4 weeks of standby periods to suit the needs of the business annually – usually during the summer months and peak trading times but not limited to these periods. Each standby period is one full week to include evenings and weekends. Key Accountabilities To ensure PPM schedules are completed within agreed timescales and that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures. Identify non-repairable faults promptly advise the Line manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacements. Ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is always completed and up to date. Requirement to participate on an out of hours standby rota - minimum of 4 x standby period annually. Responsible for arranging & communication of any cover required due to holidays/ unforeseen circumstances to line manager. Ensure that any reactive works, when carried out are managed correctly by meeting SLA targets and closed correctly To be aware of regulations and codes of practise applicable to the tasks. To order and fit parts or components where required as prescribed by company procedures. To notify the company helpdesk of procedural task condition on cessation of works. To advise the GSMs of any repair, maintenance and installation issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store and to build rapport and promote the spirit of partnership with all GSM’s where possible. Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary if carrying out any reactive work. To carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the refrigeration supervisor/ RFM. All work will be completed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy. To carry out all tasks assigned within the allotted time period to the satisfaction of the company and client. To be proficient in the use of written and verbal communication, report writing and recording procedures. To attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical and business developments. Ensure all mandatory Evolve on-line training modules are completed. To comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the company’s Health and Safety Policy at all times.
