Job Description
Maintain the quality and safety of the IDE rental fleet through provision of outstanding preventative maintenance, repair, inspection and testing service.
Responsibility for fault finding diagnosis and rectification. Managing the depot repair, inspection and testing process; including visual inspection, cleaning, maintenance, repair and testing electrical distribution equipment to IDE procedures. Building and reworking site distribution boards to customer specifications. Cable maintenance and manufacturing. Changing power locks and lugs. Crane Operation, picking equipment, strap/wrap and load vehicles. Manage off hires and damage / loss costs. Build boards to specification, general modifications, functional tests, annual tests, AMF boards test and inspect. Configure and test ELR’s, EV chargers and Erica distribution boards.
Ensuring an efficient operation, in order that equipment is ‘ready for hire’ and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse. Maintaining spares stock volumes.
Ensuring compliance with CE electrical standards and providing technical advice to customers and colleagues.
Carrying out site temporary power distribution installations and de-installing equipment, to meet customer requirements.

Principal Accountabilities
1. Taking ownership of the product repair, inspection & testing process
2. Meet all targets and KPI’s to correlate with customer service level agreements and daily targets. A good understanding of the reporting tools on offer to achieve KPI’s
3. Building & reworking of site distribution boards and cable
4. Input to IT systems all paperwork relating to repair, testing and goods in/out
5. Maintaining an efficient, clean and safe work environment
6. Working with the other depot colleagues on installations and board configurations
7. Managing customer onsite temporary power distribution installations
Essential/Preferred Attributes
Qualifications
18th Edition Electrical Standards.BS 7671
Level 3 Electrical installation qualification.
Electrical Inspection & Testing qualification
Good numeracy & literacy skills
PC literate
Driving Licence
Technical qualification in a power discipline
Knowledge of InspHire (rental IT software)
Forklift licence
Experience
Previous experience in the rental and electrical industry
Local knowledge of the power rental market
Previous leadership of teams
