Job Opportunity: Procurement Support Assistant at Suttons International Location: Widnes (Hybrid) Salary: Competitive Suttons International is a family-owned global logistics business, seeking a Procurement Support Assistant to join our Head Office in Widnes working 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday. The Role The Procurement Support Assistant will provide administrative support to the European and USA regions. With key responsibilities for the timely updating of the vendor rates within the in-house transport operating system. This role is also responsible for ensuring the speedy resolution of purchase invoice queries, for example, by correcting the data within procurement system or requesting credits notes from customers. This role will be based in the Widnes office, and report to the Procurement Support Supervisor. Key Accountabilities Monitor requests for rates sent to the EU Procurement email and provide a timely response, as agreed in the departmental service level agreements Ensure new rates are added to the RAM system in a timely manner Ensure monthly variable surcharges are updated within the RAM system Monitor and report changes in fuel costs and report these changes to the relevant departments Monitor and report on the depots KPI’s, highlighting those that we not meeting the required standards Contact suppliers regarding incorrect invoices and where appropriate secure credit notes To work closely with Finance to review supplier invoices that cannot be processed, understand the root cause and take appropriate action to avoid future errors Create operational address records Maintain the key procurement departmental spreadsheets that are shared with the business Actively contribute to the weekly Procurement L10 Maintain working procurement files in a secure and orderly fashion Provide cover and assistance to Procurement colleagues when required Skills & Experience Highly organised Able to prioritise their personal workload in a consistent and methodical way Tenacious, will see things through to the end Strong verbal and written communication skills Has good numerical and analytical skills Learns quickly, able to develop a good working relation with people across different cultures Self-Starter Team player Ability to multi-task – Remains effective in a work environment where there are multiple interruptions Strong negotiation skills (with internal teams and external customers) Is trustworthy and can be relied upon to maintain confidentiality as appropriate Benefits Flexible hybrid working Competitive salary Holiday allowance of 25 days plus Bank Holidays Buy/sell holidays option Pension scheme Bonus potential Free onsite parking Enhanced Maternity and Paternity leave Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and Health Support Birthday off Long-service rewards Refer a Friend scheme Various company discounts and perks Note: All offers of employment are subject to a Basic DBS check and Drug & Alcohol Testing prior to start.
