Inspection Team Leader Our well established, successful, and constantly developing client based in Stroud are currently looking for an Inspection Team Leader to join their friendly team for 12 months to cover maternity leave. You will report to the Quality Manager and be responsible overseeing the inspection department, managing the goods in inspection, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operations and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) with a focus on Dye Penetrant Inspection. Responsibilities - Lead and supervise a team of 7 inspection technicians and specialists. - Allocate resources, schedule work, and prioritize tasks to meet goals. - Conduct performance reviews, training, and mentoring for team members. - Coordinate with other departments for project assignments. - Oversee incoming materials inspection to meet quality standards. - Manage Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for accurate measurements. - Supervise Dye Penetrant Inspection (NDT) and ensure compliance with standards. - Oversee final inspection to ensure products meet specifications. - Maintain quality standards and implement quality control procedures. - Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency. - Train and develop team members in inspection techniques and technologies. - Maintain inspection records and report on department performance. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safety culture. - Oversee equipment calibration, maintenance, and repairs. - Manage relationships with suppliers and external certification bodies. - Optimize use of inspection resources and maintain assets. - Maintain departmental records and schedules. Key Attributes - Previous experience in an inspection role within the oil and gas industry. - Proven leadership and team management skills. - Knowledge of CMM and NDT techniques. - Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in relevant software and inspection tools. - Ability to manage a busy and changing workload. Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm early finish Fridays 8am - 2pm Salary: Very competitive (able to disclose immediately upon application) 25 days hols plus bank holidays & excellent benefits package
