Job Title
Experienced MRI Clinical Imaging Assistant - Bank hours - one or two 12.5 hour shifts per month - includes weekends and bank holidays in following UK areas - Penrith, Lincolnshire & Hexham (Northumberland).
Main Place of Work
We are a UK wide organisation, you may be required to travel around various clinic sites.

Job Purpose
To provide professional, caring, high quality scanning services and to ensure the privacy, comfort and safety of all patients for SG Radiology on our mobile MRI scanner fleet at locations around the UK.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
Operational Duties
* Support and assist the MRI Radiographer in the day-to-day operation of clinics.
* Work to set standards, functioning in accordance with best practice and in a manner that meets professional, departmental and legal standards and requirements.
* Maintain a positive partnership and continuity of service with hospital sites attended through SG’s mobile services.
* Conduct screening safety checks with patients prior to examination, obtain consent and ensure their suitability for imaging investigations.
* Data entry on the Radiology Information (IRIS) system.
* Provide physical and emotional support to patients throughout their attendance.
* Support and train students and other radiographic assistants.
* Participate in clinical audits including Health, Safety and Infection Control.
* Maintain hygiene in adherence to SG’s infection prevention standards and promote best practice throughout SG’s mobile MRI services.
* Adhere to policies and procedures and propose changes to practices and procedures.
* Ensure the safe use and maintenance of highly specialised imaging equipment and adhere to all local MRI safety procedures, reporting problems immediately to senior members of staff.
* Liaise with clerical support staff.
Specific Duties
* Update IRIS the Radiology Information System continuously throughout the day.
* Perform morning checklists.
* Undertake a stock check in the morning.
* Assist the radiographer in cleaning duties after each patient and set up for the next patient.
* Greet patients and inform them of any wait times.
* Perform the safety questionnaire verbally with each patient.
* Monitor the mobile phone and Siilo chats throughout the day and liaise with the ops team.
* At the end of the day, sweep and mop all units – surfaces are to be cleaned.
Management of Resources
Maintain clinical stock and supplies as directed.

* Work collaboratively with all departments within SG and hospital sites.
* Champion the professional integrity of the organisation.
* Adhere to corporate policy and procedure.
Personal Development
All SG staff are required to participate in the organisation’s annual appraisal. The end-of-year appraisal will include a personal development review where progress made over the year is discussed and agreed. Focus on the following year’s personal objectives will be identified, discussed, and agreed.

Confidentiality
Under no circumstances, either during or after the end of your employment (however it is terminated), may you divulge to any unauthorised person confidential information relating to SG. This includes, but is not limited to, information covering patients, individual staff records, industrial relations, financial affairs, contact terms and process or business forecasts.

Hold data only for specific registered purposes and not use or disclose it in any way incompatible with such purposes. Disclose data only to authorised persons or organisations as instructed.

Pay: £12.50-£16.50 per hour
