Head of Operations
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations to oversee the operational functions of our growing fire safety maintenance business. With a 50-strong workforce and an impressive 30% year-on-year growth, we require a strategic and hands-on leader to drive efficiency, scalability, and excellence across our operational teams. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless delivery of our services while supporting continued growth through organic expansion and acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Leadership: Manage and oversee all operational aspects of the business, including scheduling, stores, logistics, and field technicians.
* Strategic Implementation: Work closely with senior leadership to support the execution of the company’s strategic growth plans.
* Resource Management: Ensure the effective deployment of technicians and resources across the island of Ireland to meet customer demands and service level agreements.
* Process Optimisation: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
* Supply Chain & Inventory Management: Oversee stock control, procurement, and logistics to ensure timely availability of equipment and materials.
* Workforce Management: Lead, mentor, and develop operational staff, ensuring high levels of engagement, performance, and compliance.
* Customer Service & Quality Assurance: Maintain high service standards and ensure customer satisfaction through effective operational execution.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
* Financial Oversight: Manage operational budgets and costs to support profitability and efficiency.
* Acquisition Integration: Support the seamless operational integration of newly acquired businesses into existing structures.
Person Specification
* Proven experience in an operational leadership role within a service-based business.
* Strong background in managing field-based teams and logistics.
* Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.
* Excellent people management skills with experience in leading, coaching, and developing teams.
* Financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
* Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel across the island of Ireland as required.
* Experience in the fire safety, maintenance, or facilities management industry.
* Previous involvement in business acquisitions and integration processes.
* Familiarity with scheduling and logistics software.
* Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in the fire safety or maintenance sector (or similar industry).
