This is a great opportunity to join an established team within our family-run nursery at a senior level. The SENCo role can also be included within this position for the right candidate.
You will be someone who has a strong ability to support our Nursery Manager with all aspects of the operations of a setting, with a strong focus on delivering outstanding childcare and education to families within your care.
As the Deputy Nursery Manager, you will offer strong leadership to all members of the team. Within a progressive, supportive, and nurturing environment, you will have the ability to inspire and motivate them to deliver best practice at every level.
Some of your responsibilities will include supporting the Nursery Manager with:
1. Achieving and maintaining high standards of care and education
2. Effectively leading and managing the staff team including providing day-to-day guidance, training, and support to all staff in the pre-school room
3. Ensuring all policies, procedures, and curriculums are implemented and adhered to at all times
4. Keeping up to date with current early childhood thinking/trends
5. Being influential in developing strong links with parents
6. Managing all day-to-day operations of the nursery in the absence of the Nursery Manager
You will need to have the following:
1. Level 5 childcare qualification (Level 3 will be considered with suitable experience)
2. Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation
3. Knowledge of Ofsted standards
4. Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
5. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
6. Excellent communication skills
7. Strong people management skills
8. Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities
