My client, a newly acquired division of of a listed business services provider is seeking an experienced Interim Management Accountant to join the finance team. This role is designed to help bring clarity and order to their balance sheet while mentoring and supporting the current management accountant. This is a hands-on, detail-focused role that requires someone who can dive deep into financial processes, resolve historic issues, and work collaboratively with the team to drive improvements.

Key Responsibilities
* Fix the Balance Sheet: Analyse and reconcile the balance sheet, addressing discrepancies to ensure it aligns accurately with the management accounts.
* Support the Senior Finance Team: Provide expertise and insights to support strategic decision-making and improve financial reporting accuracy.
* Mentor the Management Accountant: Work closely with the existing management accountant, offering guidance, training, and development to enhance their capabilities.
* Review Historical Issues: Investigate and resolve financial issues and discrepancies that date back 2-3 years.
* Document Financial Processes: Establish and document clear, standardised financial processes to prevent future inconsistencies.
* Collaborate with the Team: Engage closely with the finance team and other stakeholders on-site to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues.
* Systems and Tools: Utilise Great Plains, Cognos, and Excel to manage and analyse financial data effectively.
What We're Looking For
* Experience: Proven track record as a interim management accountant, with a track record in resolving similar challenges.
* Detail-Oriented: A strong focus on accuracy and detail, with the ability to dive deep into complex financial data.

* Problem Solver: Adept at identifying root causes of financial discrepancies and implementing sustainable solutions.
* Strong Communicator: Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with a team on-site.
