Are you an experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a passion for covering lessons across all primary key stages?
Supply Desk has a fantastic opportunity for a confident and adaptable HLTA to join one of our partnered Ofsted-rated 'Good' schools in Rochester, Kent. This full-time, long-term contract will run until the end of the academic year, offering stability in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
About the Role: In this role, you will play a key part in the school's hardworking and supportive team, taking responsibility for covering lessons across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. You'll lead lessons in the absence of the class teacher, support pupils with their learning, and ensure that each lesson runs smoothly and effectively. You'll also provide targeted support to students, particularly those with SEND, ensuring they have access to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Delivery: Lead pre-planned lessons across all primary key stages during PPA time or teacher absences.
SEND Support: Provide tailored group and 1:1 support for pupils with special educational needs.
Behaviour Management: Promote positive behaviour and maintain a productive learning environment.
Interventions: Plan and deliver small-group or individual interventions, particularly for SEND students.
Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality learning for all pupils.
Flexibility: Be adaptable across various year groups and subjects, adjusting your approach to meet the needs of different learners.
What We’re Looking For:
Experienced HLTAs: You should be confident delivering lessons across all primary key stages, from EYFS to KS2.
SEND Experience: Experience supporting students with special educational needs is highly desirable.
Team Player: Strong collaboration skills are essential, as you’ll be working closely with a dedicated team.
Adaptability & Flexibility: You should be comfortable covering lessons across a variety of year groups and subjects.
Resilience & Positivity: A positive attitude and resilience are key to thriving in this role.
DBS & References: A valid DBS and two professional references are required.
