Shifts: 10pm - 7am (Monday-Friday predominantly)
Remarkable Jobs is currently recruiting for two exciting opportunities in Slough: Equipment Technician and Equipment Technician Supervisor. Our client is a world leader in providing cutting-edge lighting and rigging equipment. These roles are key to ensuring that the highest quality standards are met across their rental assets, which support some of the biggest names in the industry.
Equipment/Warehouse Technician
As an Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and testing of rental equipment. This includes lighting, rigging, and other assets. You will play a crucial role in ensuring all equipment is ready to use, safely stored, and functioning correctly before and after rentals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on electrical equipment.
* Conduct electrical and mechanical function tests on returned rental assets.
* Ensure accurate tracking of equipment through the inventory management system.
* Handle minor repairs and escalate issues to supervisors as necessary.
* Supervise and train junior technicians and apprentices.
* Ensure the safe handling and preparation of equipment.
Essential Skills:
* IT literate, with the ability to learn asset management systems.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Adaptable and proactive, with a willingness to learn.
* Ability to work flexibly, including overtime and occasional weekends.
Equipment/Warehouse Supervisor
In this supervisory role, you will oversee the Equipment Technicians, ensuring all equipment preparation and maintenance processes are followed to the highest standard. You will lead the team in meeting service delivery goals while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise the preparation, maintenance, and testing of all rental assets.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety policies across the team.
* Train and mentor junior technicians, ensuring high standards of safety and quality.
* Manage the storage, handling, and dispatching of equipment.
* Collaborate with operational management to meet business needs.
Essential Skills:
* Strong leadership and team management experience. (For supervisor position)
* Ability to drive high-quality service standards and operational efficiency.
* Familiar with health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
* Experience in asset management systems is highly desirable.
