We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated nurse to join our dynamic team at Frimley Park Hospital in the Urgent Gynaecology Care Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will provide essential care to women in urgent need of gynaecological services.
The Urgent Gynaecology Care Centre operates 7 days a week, from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM, and is made up of three key services: the Early Pregnancy Clinic, Emergency Gynaecology Clinic, and the Same Day Emergency Care Centre. As part of this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting patients during their time of need, offering compassionate care and delivering high standards of clinical practice.

• Promote and maintain professional standards: Ensure high standards of professional practice in the delivery of care for gynaecology and early pregnancy patients, consistently adhering to the NMC Code of Conduct
• Service management: Demonstrate excellent organisational skills in managing the service, ensuring efficient and effective operation of the unit.
• Communication: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop strong relationships with all members of the multi-disciplinary team. Use effective negotiation and influencing skills to meet NHS targets and implement changes in line with NICE and RCOG guidelines.
• Patient care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised patient care. Review investigations and liaise with medical staff to ensure comprehensive care.
• Holistic assessment: Apply analytical and judgment skills when assessing the physical, psychological, and emotional needs of women using the service.
• Urgent patient triage: Review and triage urgent patients referred to the service, either via phone or online referrals, ensuring timely and appropriate care.
• Sensitive communication: Deliver complex and sensitive information to patients with empathy and understanding, ensuring clear communication in difficult situation.
• Complaints management: Take a proactive role in managing complaints, ensuring all staff are aware of the complaints policy and are able to deal effectively with complaints in the absence of the Senior Sister.
