Enhanced Technician
Salary – £50,000-£65,000 (per annum plus benefits) dependant on experience
Hours – 40 hours per week, working a shift pattern, 7am-7pm/7pm/7am
Location – Allington Energy from Waste Facility, ME16 0LE
As an Enhanced Technician at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all operational staff, contractors, and visitors at the Allington Energy from Waste Facility. Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, you will facilitate daily operational activities, operate plant equipment from the Distributed Control System, and perform on-site operational tasks efficiently and in line with FCC Environment’s procedures. You will also support operational improvements to enhance facility performance while liaising with the Maintenance, Cleaning, and I/O teams.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 40 hours per week.

What will you be doing?
1. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies
2. Operating plant equipment safely and efficiently
3. Monitoring and maintaining compliance with environmental permits
4. Carrying out risk assessments and operational procedures
5. Supporting operational improvements and performance enhancements
6. Administering safe systems of work and coordinating contractor activities
7. Participating in health and safety inspections and workplace investigations
8. Managing consumable materials and operational strategies
9. Performing first aid and acting as a Fire Marshal in emergency situations
