Job overview
Working within a busy County outpatient's department. The post holder will play a key role in the delivery of various services/procedures including venesection and infusions. There are a lot of interesting nurse-led services within County Outpatients. The nurse in charge duties when rostered and assessed as competent to take on the roles and responsibilities of leadership and supervision of staff working clinically and managing a group of patients and colleagues.
Main duties of the job
* The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of the needs, development of programmes of care, and for the implementation and evaluation of these programmes for patients and their relatives.
* To provide a high standard of clinical nursing within the ward/department.
* To manage a group of patients.
* To take charge of the area when rostered and assessed as competent to take on the roles and responsibilities of leadership and supervision.
* To act as a role model to students and Nursing Assistants.
* To present a positive, professional image of the organisation and of the nursing team.
