About The Role
As a division of M Group Services, M Group Telecoms operates four businesses, providing Telecommunication Infrastructure Services. Morrison Telecom Services, Avonline Networks, Magdalene, and Waldon work with fixed and mobile network operators, telecoms infrastructure owners, and private network clients across the UK and Ireland, designing, building, connecting, managing, and maintaining telecom networks. We are looking to secure and grow our business and reputation with the client.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Business Development and Account Manager to be part of our account team in the UK. This role is based across the Fixed Telecom companies - Morrison Telecom Services and Avonline Networks. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with specific clients and serving as their main point of contact. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for understanding those clients' needs, ensuring their satisfaction, and maximizing the business opportunities within their existing accounts. In addition, you will work with the team to identify and secure new business opportunities outside of our existing client base. The scopes of work will include:
* Turnkey plan, design, and build of Next Generation Access infrastructure
* Civil network installation
* Replacement and refurbishment of networks
* Network cabling, jointing, and splicing
* New service installations and repair
* Specialist support and network auditing
* Fixed infrastructure build
Responsibilities:
* Develop an in-depth understanding of our client offering.
* Identify new opportunities to enable the fulfilment of our 5-year business plan, ensuring activity is targeted by geography and workstream.
* Manage and take responsibility for the successful progression of specific bids as Bid Manager and where required, provide to any other nominated Bid Manager in the team.
* Develop and create bid materials, including client presentations.
* Work with the wider Business Development and Account Management team to develop and maintain delivery case studies and client offering collateral; engage with the Marketing team where needed.
* Contribute your ideas to help shape our future client offering, providing market insight on services required.
* Attend client and industry events and conferences to represent our Fixed Telecom business.
For our existing clients:
* Develop a clear understanding of our client organisations, including their challenges, delivery and operating models, and key stakeholders.
* Act as the central point of contact and smiling face of Fixed Telecom.
* Establish, cultivate, and orchestrate key client relationships, including managing the client's perception of our business.
* Understand the scope of our existing contracts and scan the horizon for further scope or volume opportunities.
* Support and influence clients to shape their strategic direction.
* Manage new business leads for our customers and work closely with the Commercial team to ensure we proactively engage with opportunities where appropriate to maximize our secured pipeline.
* Work closely with Commercial and Operational teams to work through in-life changes, ensuring our reputation with the client is maintained throughout.
* Proactively and reactively identify and manage issues arising from our existing or upcoming contracts and generate and execute appropriate interventions, in partnership with our operations teams, to ensure resolutions. Look for opportunities at all times to prevent escalations.
* Support our Managing Directors and Business Unit leads to help them understand the client's perspective and ensure we maintain a close relationship with our operational colleagues.
* Work closely with the wider Business Development and Account Management Team to develop consistent client messaging, whilst ensuring all members of the management team are aligned to that messaging.
Candidate Requirements:
* A working knowledge of the Telecoms sector is preferable but experience from alternative national infrastructure will be considered.
* The ability to write reports and create presentations for clients at a senior level. Skills in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office suite essential.
* Adept at conflict resolution, negotiation, and persuasion.
* Experience of working in a client-facing role at a Senior Level.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to be articulate.
* Strong emotional intelligence to enable rapport building and the ability to recognize the perception of others.
* Good levels of English and maths to aid understanding of client scopes and development of bids.
* A passion for business development and customer service.
* A valid driving license.
