Skilled Machinist / Precision Engineer Location: Wrexham Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum Bonus Overtime Opportunities A well-established manufacturing company is looking for a Skilled Machinist / Precision Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a time-served machinist to work in a hands-on role within a precision manufacturing environment. The Role: You will be responsible for machining precision components, working to engineering drawings, and contributing to the efficient running of a busy machine shop. The role involves working with manual machines, with potential training available for CNC operations. Key Responsibilities: Machining Operations Setting up and running manual lathes, knee mills, and drills to produce precision components. Engineering Drawings Reading and interpreting technical drawings to meet required specifications. Tooling & Finishing Using interchangeable inserts and grinding tools to achieve required finishes and tolerances. Bench Fitting & Assembly Experience in bearing renewal and assembly work is beneficial but not essential. Low Volume Precision Work Exposure to mould work and rubber machining is an advantage, though training can be provided. CNC Experience Beneficial but not essential, with training available if required. About You: Time-served machinist with experience in manual machining (lathes, mills, and drills). Strong understanding of engineering drawings and precision manufacturing. Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled engineering team. Good communication skills and attention to detail.
