We achieve this by really understanding how our business works from grape to glass and converting that knowledge into effective measures, controls, reports and advice.
What will this involve?
1. Assist in the maintenance of the accounts inbox to ensure that all entries are dealt with in a timely manner or re-directed to the relevant individual(s) in the business best suited to deal with the enquiry.
2. Assisting the process of balance sheet reconciliations, transactional and analytical.
3. Ledger house-keeping.
4. Supporting other departmental queries throughout the business and providing information to internal stakeholders when required.
5. Maintaining Inter-company reconciliations, liaising with businesses in the group based worldwide.
6. Preparing, reconciling and posting journal entries.
7. Assisting with the month end process.
8. Cross training and supporting the rest of the team during annual leave.
9. Assist with year end audit queries, liaising with external accountants.
10. Complete adhoc administrative duties and project work as and when required by the business.
What kind of person are we looking for?
1. Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
2. Good understanding of accounting principles and concepts
3. Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
4. Accuracy and an eye for detail
5. Good work ethic
6. Additional IT Skills – Outlook, Power BI, Microsoft 365 Dynamics AX/ Business Central preferable
7. Team player with good communication
