The Role
Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Finance and Operations), the Director of Finance has responsibility for the University’s Finance Department. The post holder will play a critical role in enabling the delivery of the University’s strategic objectives by driving financial performance and delivering value for the University and the community it serves.
With experience of senior leadership in finance in organisations of comparable scale and complexity in the public or private sectors, you will be a qualified accountant able to develop and lead high-performing teams and build positive relationships with banks, investment, treasury and tax advisors and internal & external auditors.
You will provide advice and guidance to senior colleagues, Committees and the University’s Board of Trustees and be a member of the Vice Chancellor’s Executive Group. You will establish and maintain key working relationships with senior staff from across the University and develop good working relationships with senior officers from across the Federation.
The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills and be able to both foster excellent performance amongst colleagues and influence senior colleagues in a positive manner.
