Site Manager
Annual Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Location: Bristol/Bath area
Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a Site Manager to oversee a £9 Million residential scheme, ensuring that health and safety, programme, and budget targets are met. This role offers the opportunity to work with a privately-owned contracting organisation and report to a visiting Project Director.
Day-to-day of the role:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards.
2. Implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures on-site.
3. Manage the site team, including subcontractors and suppliers, to ensure project milestones are met.
4. Maintain strict budget control and identify cost-saving measures where possible.
5. Ensure the project is delivered on time, liaising with the Project Director and other stakeholders.
6. Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to monitor progress and address any issues promptly.
7. Maintain accurate records and reports, including progress updates and compliance documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally with some experience within residential construction working for a main contractor.
2. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
3. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
4. Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage budgets effectively.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Relevant industry qualifications, such as SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work.
