Role Description We are is seeking an Associate Mechanical Project Engineer for a full-time hybrid position, located in Central Scotland with flexibility for remote work. You will have the opportunity to work with an experienced team and be involved in a series of exciting projects with one of the fastest-growing engineering consultancies in the UK. Additionally, you will be travelling across the UK to clients' sites. As an Associate Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for specifying process machinery, static equipment and valves, design piping systems, amongst a broad range of other activities. We are looking for candidates with good technical understanding, and people who have the right attitude and behaviours to enhance our service offerings. Key responsibilities: Providing mechanical engineering discipline input on projects. Providing project engineering input on projects. Responsible for technical management and delivery of mechanical equipment packages from design through to installation. Responsible for providing technical input to engineering standards, internal procedures and other key processes. Carrying out technical bid evaluations for mechanical equipment packages by liaising with Supplier and other disciplines. Reviewing engineering and design documentation and drawings Liaising with equipment suppliers and installation contractors. You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with multi discipline teams. Expected Qualifications and Requirements: MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualification that meets the IMechE requirements for CEng Professional registration. Ability to work as part of a multidiscipline engineering and design team. 2-4 years of relevant experience in the field of mechanical engineering Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues internally and clients, vendors and contractors externally. A proactive attitude to ensure work is delivered effectively to a high standard. Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, and attention to detail. Valid UK driving licence for travel to customer sites. Willingness to travel occasionally (UK and abroad) as part of work assignments. The right to work in the UK with visa already in place.
