Apprentice Engineer
Field-based, South West England
Fixed term from 09/2025 to 08/2029, Full-time, Monday - Friday 37.5 hours

Responsibilities of an Apprentice Engineer:
* The job requires a good understanding of work routines and procedures in one's own job. The technical procedures for this level are well defined, requiring proficient knowledge acquired through formal training or considerable experience.
* Observe, abide by and enforce the Company's and client's Health and Safety policies.
* The role will include time at a residential college during the first year and day release study time for one day per week in years 2-4.
* Ensure all coursework is completed in a timely manner to attain a suitable qualification.
* Support the Service Engineers in carrying out:
1. Breakdown work - troubleshooting/fault finding
2. Preventative maintenance work for customers with service contracts
3. Commissioning work - involving the installation of new products
4. Timely reporting on progress or delays for customers
5. Timely completion and submission of risk assessments, work reports, time sheets, and all other work-related documentation
6. Site tasks and activities as required
7. After-sales technical and commercial support to customers
General requirements for the role:
* GCSE or equivalent - English, Maths, and Science
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Customer Focused
* Strong Communication Skills
* Excellent Time Management
* A good level of IT competency
* Good organisational skills
* Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks
Additionally, having the following is a bonus:
* BTEC and/or NVQ in an Engineering discipline
* Working towards City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or similar
* Knowledge and/or experience in using Google Suite
