Sanborn Head is seeking a dynamic Environmental Project Director to join our team in the Philadelphia, PA region. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead challenging projects, mentor talented professionals, and contribute to our firm's growth.
Essential Functions – What You Will Do
1. Spearhead environmental projects in Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic area
2. Develop and maintain client relationships to drive business growth
3. Lead and mentor project teams of engineers and scientists
4. Oversee technical strategy and project financials
Competencies – What We Are Looking For
1. 12-15+ years of experience in environmental engineering or geology/hydrogeology
2. BS in Environmental Engineering or Geology/Hydrogeology (MS preferred)
3. Professional Engineering or Professional Geologist Licensure in Pennsylvania
4. Expertise in PA environmental regulatory programs, including PA Act 2 Program and experience in other state (NJ/DE) and federal (RCRA/Superfund) regulatory programs
5. Strong background in contaminant fate and transport, environmental assessment, and remediation approaches
6. Proven track record in site characterization and remediation assessments
7. Excellent project management and client service skills
Office located in Philadelphia, PA area. Hybrid or remote work would be considered with the right qualifications.
