Are you an experienced nursery professional looking for an exciting leadership role? We have a well-established nursery near Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager as maternity cover.

As the Deputy Nursery Manager you will support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring high-quality care and education for children.
You will oversee staff, providing guidance and professional development, and help implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, as well as ensuring the nursery environment is safe and well-maintained, adhering to health, safety, and safeguarding regulations. You will build strong relationships with parents, communicating effectively about their child's progress.
Additionally, you will assist with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and enrolment, and support the Manager with the rota and finances.

Responsibilities:
* Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained. Lead by example, inspiring and motivating the staff team
* Oversee the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring that educational activities meet developmental needs and are delivered effectively. Conduct regular assessments and maintain records of children's progress
* Provide guidance, support, and training to nursery staff, fostering a positive, collaborative working environment. Assist with staff appraisals and performance management
* Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and caregivers, ensuring open communication and providing updates on their child’s development
* Ensure that all policies and safeguarding procedures are adhered to, maintaining a safe environment for children, staff, and visitors
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare
* Proven experience of a supervisory role within an early years setting
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early years education best practices
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
