Job Title: HR/Employee Relations Specialist Location: Stevenage Department: Human Resources Job Type: Full-time Overview: We are seeking an experienced HR professional to support our HR and Employee Relations (ER) functions, with a focus on empowering and advising line managers. The successful candidate will provide guidance across various HR initiatives, ensuring a positive and supportive experience for all employees throughout their journey with the organization. Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary contact for Employee Relations matters, providing advice and support on a range of employee issues. Work closely with line managers to ensure they have the tools and knowledge to effectively manage their teams in areas such as performance, absence, and employee development. Assist with recruitment processes, including shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding, ensuring compliance with recruitment best practices. Maintain and update employee records, including processing essential information for payroll and conducting audits to ensure compliance with regulations. Provide support with offboarding processes and gather feedback through exit interviews to drive continuous improvement. Collaborate on key HR initiatives, such as Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI), to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Qualifications & Skills: Strong experience in HR and Employee Relations. Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to empower and support managers. Detail-oriented, with experience in managing HR systems and conducting audits. A collaborative and proactive approach to working within HR and across departments.
