Job Summary:
As the Pharmacist Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for providing safe, efficient, and effective pharmaceutical services to the community. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a commitment to patient care, and a thorough knowledge of pharmacy practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring an efficient workflow and a high level of customer service.
2. Compliance: Ensure all pharmacy activities comply with UK regulatory standards, including the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) guidelines.
3. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
4. Patient Care: Provide exceptional pharmaceutical care, including counseling patients on medication use, managing prescriptions, and addressing customer inquiries.
5. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, manage stock levels, and liaise with suppliers for timely ordering.
6. Health and Safety: Ensure the pharmacy meets health and safety standards, adhering to all necessary protocols for a safe work environment.
7. Business Development: Collaborate with management to identify and implement new services and opportunities to grow the business.
8. Financial Oversight: Monitor pharmacy budgets, sales targets, and performance indicators, ensuring profitability.
Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in Pharmacy
2. Full registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
3. Previous experience in a pharmacy management role (preferred)
4. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical practices and relevant laws/regulations
5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
