Reporting to the UK Head of Tooling and Automation, Automation Developers are responsible for the implementation and configuration of Automations for new and existing customers.
This includes technology deployed within the Global Atos Technology Framework, the UK Secure Cloud (IRIS) environment, or any customer specific environments.
Tasks:
1. Provide technical knowledge of Automation building blocks, their requirements, dependencies and integration with other tools;
2. Attend service design workshops to align Tower expectations into deliverables;
3. Work in a team to plan, design, and implement the Automations;
4. Work with the Stream Leads/Architects to develop Operational Acceptance Criteria and attain sign off for automation deployments;
5. Complete hand over to BAU of support documentation for global & UK based support models;
6. Provide regular internal reports on progress and issues to Automation management;
7. Responsible for creation and maintenance of local documentation in addition to that held globally for the Automation tools;
8. Responsible for providing 3rd line support for Automations;
9. Help build and contribute to operational work instructions;
10. Provide continual assessment of automation capabilities and contribute to Service Improvements;
11. Work with global colleagues to ensure consistency of approach and delivery;
12. Work as part of a virtual team within projects, building close working relationships with peers from other areas of the business.
Qualifications
1. Knowledge of service organisation and automation products;
2. Experience of working in a project environment;
3. Experience of designing automation workflows.
Beneficial Skills
1. Full-stack developer skills, specifically in Python (Flask) for the server side, React/JavaScript for the front end;
2. Has worked with Azure OpenAI and other GenAI models;
3. Strong understanding of GenAI;
4. Good knowledge of SQL databases;
5. Good knowledge of a server side (backend) framework and front end frameworks;
6. Programming/Scripting languages such as Ruby, PowerShell, Python, API/SDK Development, Node.js;
7. Linux and MS Windows in prompt mode, 'CLI', text editors, and various SSH clients;
8. DevOps/Agile processes (including Continuous integration/Continuous deployment concepts and tools);
9. Demonstrates the ability to quickly attain knowledge and understanding of complex technical applications;
10. Automation frameworks and tools such as Red Hat Ansible Automation;
11. Implementing system infrastructure and cloud solutions, including data storage, networking, monitoring, and security;
12. Knowledge of Enterprise Management frameworks and other tools which may be appropriate (Arago, Syntbots, ServiceNow Orchestration, BeatBox, Ansible, vRealise).

3. Health, Safety and Environment training (Display Screen Equipment, Environmental Awareness, Fire Safety, Office Safety);
4. Core skills (modules to support individual development needs);
5. In-house risk management.
