Job Description
Would you like to join one of the largest accountancy practices in the area and become part of a friendly team with great spirit of working together within a Private Client Tax environment? The office is a 13 minute walk from Salisbury Train station and is situated in the centre of a lovely market town.
You will be joining a team with a diverse portfolio with some complex issues to navigate. Known for its Landed Estates and rural businesses specialism, the team acts for a number of titled families.

Key responsibilities:
1. You will manage a portfolio of personal clients with complex tax affairs, HNWIs with a focus on Landed Estates, agricultural clients, entrepreneurs, Partnerships, and Trusts.
2. You will assist Partners and Directors with, and when suitable, take the lead on tax planning initiatives like succession planning through trusts and corporate structures, as well as addressing capital gains and inheritance tax concerns.
3. Liaising with other service lines to deliver work to clients, for example: Accounts & Corporate Tax work.
4. Oversee compliance and fundamental advisory tasks completed by junior staff members.
5. Maintaining strong relationships with clients and supporting senior members of the team to identify opportunities for new work.
6. Developing the more junior team including providing timely feedback and assisting them with technical and personal development.
Qualifications
Essential requirements and qualifications
1. You will have significant experience gained within another professional services firm and will have a sound knowledge and understanding of a variety of private client tax issues.
2. You will have proven technical knowledge and capability to communicate complex messages to your client base with the ability to ask the right questions.
3. Ability to demonstrate experience in tax planning/advisory projects as well as managing complex compliance issues.
4. People management and organisational experience.
5. Qualified Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Adviser - ACA / CTA.
